Abstract
The linear Jahn-Teller system E(X) epsilon , Gamma 8(X) tau 2 and Gamma 8(X)( epsilon (+) tau 2) (in equal coupling) can all be reduced to similar sets of differential equations. Wavefunctions, energies and Ham factors for low-lying levels of such systems in strong coupling are found. The agreement between the results of analytical and numerical calculations is good. Keywords
