Hormones and Sexual Behavior in the Male

Abstract
The relationship between androgenic activity and male sexual behavior has been studied experimentally. Findings in both castrated and intact animals suggest that testosterone acts on the brain and spinal cord reflexes as well as on the genital area. Now that circulating testosterone levels can easily be measured, the basis has been laid for studies in man that might explain age-related and other forms of diminished sexual capacity.
