The de Haas-van Alphen Effect in Ferromagnetic Nickel

Abstract
The current results of our de Haas‐van Alphen investigation of ferromagnetic nickel yield complete data for the [111] directed neck which is assumed to be associated with L2′ of the spin ↑ s band and for a set of X‐centered pockets which have been assigned to the X5 spin ↓ d‐band holes. The negative results of the experiment indicate that the X2 spin ↓ level is below the Fermi level and that the ordering of the L32 ↓ and L2′ ↓ levels is that recently proposed by Krinchik and Canshina.
