Proposal to measure theD-meson decay constantFD

Abstract

Because the branching ratios of the purely leptonic modes of the $D$ meson are small compared to the semileptonic decays, we suggest that the decay $D\to K+l+\nu$ might be used to deduce the value of $F_D$, the weak decay constant of the $D$ meson.
