Abstract
Estrogen increases the acetylcholine-content of the uterus of an ovariectomized rabbit within 1 hr. This is not the case in cats and rats. 26 cats and 52 rats were used. Estrogen and the sympathetic innervation to the uterus in the rabbit are cholinergic; in the cat, the nerves are adrenergic, and estrogen is not cholinergic. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
