Abstract
A number of ligands L displace triphenylarsine from the complex Pt(C2F4)(AsPh3)2 to give good yields of the complexes Pt(C2F4)L2(L2=αα-bipyridyl, o-phenanthroline, 5-methyl-o-phenanthroline, Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2; L = PEt2Ph, PMe2Ph, PMePh2, PBun 3 and PPh3). The 19F n.m.r. spectra of these complexes are reported.
