Optical pulse propagation in V-type media

Abstract

We describe two-color solitonlike pulses in resonant $\mathsf{V}$-type three-level media with Doppler broadening. We discuss the similarities and differences among our solitons of $\mathsf{V}$-type media and the known solitons of two-level media.
