Abstract
Antibodies to HGH in human subjects treated with HGH were demonstrated by incubation of plasma with HGH-I131 and separation of antibody-bound and free HGH by chromatophoresis and electrophoresis on paper. The existence of antibodies was confirmed by immunodiffusion and immunoelectrophoresis on agar gel and by immunoprecipitation with rabbit antihuman gamma globulin. HGH-binding capacities as high as 4[mu]g/ml plasma were observed. The nature of HGH antigenicity in man is considered, and several possible explanations are discussed. This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
