Abstract
The paper deals with the design and analysis of slope-stabilising piles and adopts limit equilibrium concepts to derive pile contribution to stability. Analytical expressions for pile ultimate load are derived in terms of the force and the moment to be used in routine slope-stability analyses to take into account pile contribution. Free and head-restrained isolated piles, with infinite and finite section capacity, in drained and undrained conditions are considered. Keywords
