Abstract
Since Rb and Cs will replace K in certain physiological processes, their ability to prevent the lesions resulting from K-deficiency was studied. When Rb was added to a K-low diet, myocardial necroses and damage to the renal tubular epithelium failed to appear. When Cs was added this protective effect was less marked. Convulsive seizures were observed when Rb and Cs were added to the diet.
