Abstract
Of 264 garbage-fed hogs slaughtered in a period of 4 months at an abattoir in South St. Paul, Minnesota, 75 or 28.4% showed tuberculous lesions of the lymph nodes. Cultures were obtained from 47 of these; 35 proved to be avian type and 12 human type. The failure to demonstrate bovine tubercle bacilli indicates the effectiveness of the elimination of tuberculosis in cattle in Minnesota. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
