MEDIASTINAL TUMOR SIMULATED BY AZYGOS PHLEBECTASIA

Abstract
Two case histories are reported. Azygos phlebectasia has occurred because of obstruction of the superior vena cava, occlusion of the inferior vena cava, portal hypertension, or congestive heart failure. The detection of this entity by the utilization of chest tomography, special radiographic views in combination with certain respiratory maneuvers, angiocardiography, and thoracotomy is discussed.
