Abstract

On most electrocatalysts is an intermediate in the electroreduction of oxygen. can decompose either chemically or electrochemically and in assessing the performance of the electrocatalyst it is crucial to distinguish between these reaction paths. A simple method is proposed to determine whether or not the chemical path is followed.
