Abstract
The rates of activity of the dehydrogenase systems in Tetrahymena, which are concerned with carbohydrate oxidation, in descending order of activity are: lactic > isocitric > succinic = glucose > glucose-6-phosphate = 6-phosphogluconic = malic > glutamic = cytochrome linked α-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase. No evidence was obtained to indicate the presence of DPN linked α-glycerophosphate dehydrogenase. Keywords
