Experimental Osteomyelitis. III. Treatment with Cephaloridine

Abstract
Levels of cephaloridine in normal and osteomyelitic bone of rabbits were measured, and the efficacy of this agent in the treatment of osteomyelitis was evaluated. Proportionately more cephaloridine was found in bone in relation to levels in serum than had previously been detected with cephalothin. Treatment with cephaloridine for 42 days was effective in sterilizing diseased bone and in reducing the severity of osteomyelitis.
