Effects of neocortical ablations on relearning of a black-white discrimination habit by two strains of rats.

Abstract
Wistar rats and Long-Evans hooded rats were trained on a black-white discrimination habit. There were no strain differences in learning, but relearning of the habit following bilateral posterior ablations of the neocortex was much slower in albinos than in hooded animals. From the pattern of results, we have concluded that tne difference is due to central factors.
