Further Results on the Analysis of the Variation of Latitude

Abstract
In this paper we give further results of our analysis of the observations of the variation of latitude. We find that the best results are those derived from the unsmoothed series of values given at monthly intervals by the International Service. There is evidence of inhomogeneity in the data because of which it is difficult to obtain a reliable estimate of the damping factor. We discuss the bias introduced into the estimates of the period and damping by the inhomogeneity of the data and by other causes.
