Abstract

Bryophyllin-A, a novel bufadienolide 1,3,5-orthoacetate with potent cytotoxicity, and the known bersaldegenin-3-acetate have been isolated from Bryophyllum pinnatum and their structure have been established from spectral data and single-crystal X-ray analyses.
