Abstract
In 27 patients nitrazepam (Mogadon) taken in acute overdosage produced no untoward effects except drowsiness, even when 80 tablets were consumed. A double-blind trial in patients in general medical wards established that nitrazepam was as effective as butobarbitone as a hypnotic. It is concluded that nitrazepam is a safe and effective hypnotic. Keywords
