Nature and Etiology of the Poland Anomaly

Abstract

The Poland anomaly consists of congenital unilateral absence of the sternocostal part of the pectoralis major muscle, with ipsilateral syndactyly. Dermatoglyphic evidence confirms the unilaterality of the Poland anomaly.
