Abstract
A modification of the chromatographic method for determination of growth hormone using vertical "dry" chromatography with Whatman 3 MC paper is described. This inexpensive and rapid technique gives a better separation of free from antibody-bound growth hormone than previously published chromatographic techniques. It also gives good reproducibility, with an average recovery percentage of 104. There are high values in acromegalics and immeasurable values in hypophysectomized patients. The values obtained are independent of antibody concentration. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
