Substitution at the 4-methyl of lanost-8-en-3-one

Abstract

Reaction of the oxime of lanost-8-en-3-one with Na₂PdCl₄ carbopalladates a 4-methyl group which can be converted into monodeuteriomethyl and iodomethyl compounds.
