Abstract
This study reports the experiences of a group of people with acquired brain injury and their carers when assessing services in rural Victoria, Australia. There was a low level of professional awareness of acquired brain injury, which reduced access to information and produced poor co-ordination and communication between and within services. The findings have specific implications for rural service providers, in particular general practitioners. Keywords
