Control of Pink Bollworms by Male Annihilation12

Abstract
Traps, about 6 per acre, baited with sex lure extracted from female pink bollworm moths, Pectinophora gossypiella (Saunders), failed to reduce a field infestation though 24,666 males were collected in a 6-month period. Lack of field isolation and use of too few traps were probably responsible for the failure. The study posed several questions to be answered by future research.
