Abstract
Spectral and spatial diffusion in a three-dimensional inhomogeneously broadened system is studied for a two-site rate independent of the energy mismatch. The spectral diffusion is expressed in terms of spatial diffusion, and a Monte Carlo calculation is performed for the latter. The time-dependent behavior of the spectral profile is compared with the results of simple theoretical calculations. Keywords
