Abstract
When bovine spermatozoa were stored in 20% egg yolk-glycerol extenders buffered with .15, .2, and .25 [image] Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane and adjusted with citric acid to pH,s of 6.50, 6.75, and 7.00 optimum sperm survival was found in the 0.2 [image] extender with a pH of 6.75. After eight days of storage at 5[degree]C the motile sperm in this extender averaged 42%, compared with 35% in CUE and 18% in a citrate-yolk-glycerol extender used routinely for freezing bovine spermatozoa. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
