Evidence for anωππResonance in theI=1State at a Mass of 1695 MeV

Abstract
Evidence is presented for the existence of a boson resonance with mass M=1695±20 MeV and width Γ=90±20 MeV. It decays principally into ωρ and ωππ and has G=1 and I=1. This state can be interpreted either as a new resonance, further complicating the R region, or as an alternative decay of the π(1640); the latter would require an ωππfπ branching ratio greater than 4.
