Abstract
The inducible .beta.-lactamase from P. aeruginosa NCTC 8203 and the constitutive .beta.-lactamase from strain 1822 S/H were isolated and compared. These 2 enzymes are apparently periplasmic since they are released by freezing and thawing. They resemble each other closely in their MW, amino acid composition, isoelectric points, electrophoretic mobility and in their catalytic properties; they may be identical. Neither enzyme contains a free thiol group. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
