Abstract
A study was made, with clinical and anatomical findings, of this disease in 28 individuals aged 40 to 72 yrs. In older people, subacute bacterial endocarditis is associated with pre-existing or chronic heart disease. Most common (57%) is rheumatic heart disease.Keywords
