Abstract
We have studied the properties of planar Y-Ba-Cu-O/Ag/Y-Ba-Cu-O thin-film junctions and found them to behave as superconducting-normal-superconducting Josephson junctions. In addition, they show a novel type of response when irradiated with microwaves. We interpret this effect, which seems peculiar to high-Tc superconductors, as arising from flux motion and propose a modification of the resistively shunted junction model that gives I-V curves in qualitative agreement with experiment.
