Weave Room of the Future

Abstract
We have examined the technological feasibility and economic viability of using monitored information for real-time operator assignment in a weave room. adopting the team weaving approach. We consider the benefits of using operator headsets for transmitting assignment information from the computer to the operator, including protection of the operator from the noise in the weave room. We also consider inte grating information on raw material costs and other processing costs with weaving costs, so that the fabric is produced in the weave room with the real-time evaluation of manufacturing costs. Based on a cost-benefit analysis, the investment in additional hardware and software required for realizing these several features of the weave room of the future is justified.
