Abstract
The He II-He I transition has been investigated by measuring the temperature at which the conductivity of He II exhibits a sharp drop. It is found that this temperature is a function of the heat current . A qualitative explanation in terms of the Ginzburg-Pitaevskii phenomenological theory is suggested.
