Thermal-Force Terms and Self-Generated Magnetic Fields in Laser-Produced Plasmas

Abstract
The several magnetic-source terms affecting laser-produced plasmas are presented and their importance discussed. The thermal force is shown to greatly modify the magnetic-field distribution in numerical simulations. Experimental implications are also discussed.Keywords
