Abstract
The isomer shifts of the 86.5 keV gamma ray of 155Gd in caesium chloride type pseudobinary compounds of Gd with Ag, In, Cu and Ga have been measured. It is proposed that as group IIIB elements replace IB elements the density of s-like electrons in the conduction band decreases. Keywords
