Abstract
Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulation, which has been shown to be of value in certain painful conditions, has been used as a method of pain relief in labour. Of the 67 patients studied, 16 (23.5%) received considerable pain relief, 38 (55.9%) thought it was of some help, and five (7.4%) did not require any other form of analgesia. It is suggested that Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulation has a place in obstetric analgesia. Keywords
