Abstract
A leprosy-like condition involving minute ulcers on the toes and red spots of redleg is common in lab. frogs {Rana catesbiana R. clamitans, R. palustris, and R. pipiens). It is prevented by keeping the frogs in tap water to which 0.15% NaCl has been added. The diet should be adequate, e.g., meat, bone meal, and vit. D.
