Measurement of the Magnetic Drift Velocity and Magnetic Deflection Coefficient for Slow Electrons in Hydrogen and Deuterium at 293°K

Abstract

The magnetic drift velocity W M relating to the drift of an electron swarm in crossed electric and magnetic fields has been measured in hydrogen and uterium at 293�K. The measurements were made using Huxley's method of asuring Wx/W., the ratio of the transverse to the longitudinal drift velocity.
