Abstract
The yearly mortality rate from acute myocardial infarction in each of 4 hospitals in a single community during the decade 1941-1950 was found to vary considerably from year to year, but the avg. rate for the decade in each hospital appeared to be detd. in large measure by the hospital criteria and policy for admission and the type of patients treated. Keywords
