Abstract
The organism grows equally well on solutions of glucose or xylose but much more slowly on glycerol. The same fat or fats are produced in each case. It is assumed that there is a common intermediate in each case and that the hexose and pentose were broken down to this previous to the actual synthesis. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
