Abstract
The oscillator strengths of several magnetic‐dipole transitions for U4+ in Cs2UCl6 have been measured, and compared with calculated values using the eigenfunctions previously determined. The Zeeman effect of the only line showing a splitting in a 30‐kg field in the photographic region of the spectrum was observed and g∥ and g⊥ were compared with theoretical values. The second‐degree term of the D3d crystalline‐field distortion from the large cubic field was obtained. Keywords
