Abstract
Electron impact ionization of boron, carbon II, Nitrogen III, and oxygen IV, in their ground state configuration 1s22s22p, is treated, where allowance is made for inner shell ionization. Partial wave cross sections were calculated using both the so called 'modified' coulomb Born and the coulomb Born exchange approximation. Comparison is made with the only existing results of Peach and Lotz. Keywords
