Abstract
A capacitor discharge‐powered magnetic pinch has been used to produce pressures up to 300 kbar in solid rods. Observed high‐pressure effects include the decomposition of mullite and formation under high pressure of polymorphs of boron nitride, carbon, and iron.Keywords
