Some Notes on Rearing Aulocara elliotti (Orthoptera: Acrididae)1

Abstract

A report is made on the maintenance of field-collected Aulocara clliotti (Thomas) in greenhouse cages. The type of cage is described. Some effects of temperature, soil source and texture, and population source on oviposition behavior are discussed. Females from different populations were found to differ in their acceptance of both oviposition media and males of other populations.
