Abstract
Details of hyperfine enhanced nuclear-magnetic-cooling experiments to 1.6 mK with the Van Vleck paramagnetic compound Pr are given. Measurements of the nuclear specific heat and the hyperfine enhanced nuclear magnetic susceptibility in this very-low-temperature range are presented which extrapolate to a nuclear ferromagnetic ordering temperature of 1.0 ± 0.3 mK.
