Abstract
The graphite lattice is approximated by a set of planes in which the carbon atoms are assumed to be distributed with uniform density. It is shown that the lattice sums of r—n taken over the graphite planes can then be expressed directly in terms of tabulated functions. The results of the approximation are compared with the results obtained by direct summation. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
