Abstract
Eight hundred rads of whole-body irradiation received by albino rats has not been shown to affect wound regenerate content of total methionine or total cystine. Neither does the acute exposure alter S35-methionine S35-cystine, total sulfur-35, or total sulfur-35 minus S35-sulfate regenerate levels after tracer injections of S35-methionine. The irradiation did, however, cause a reduction in wound collagen content. Keywords
