Abstract
Cod-liver oil (Squibb) contains not only vitamins A and D but also E. Seventh generation animals were weaned on a synthetic ration containing 5% of the oil, and reproduction was obtained on 1%. Many of the females on diets containing butter fat or cod-liver oil as the only source of fat-soluble vitamins died either at time of parturition or shortly after delivery. Anemia is not a factor in the failure of animals to reproduce in the absence of vitamin E.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
