Angular depigmented macules (ADM) are commonly observed on the extremities. The number of lesions increases with age, and they are seen most frequently in the more lightly pigmented races. The histology shows a variable decrease of pigment granules in the melanocytes. Sunlight seems to be one important causative factor.
