Abstract
The dc focusing characteristics of a cylindrical electron stream totally immersed in a uniform axial magnetic field are studied for the condition of laminar electron flow. The magnitude and wavelength of the beam radius perturbations and the angular velocity of precession of the electrons are determined as functions of the magnetic field, space-charge density, and initial injection slope. Keywords
