Influence of the Ration on the Vitamin C Content of Milk

Abstract
The influence of a number of carefully controlled rations on the vitamin C ascorbic acid content of milk was determined both by biological assay and chemical test. Milk from cows receiving pasture was compared with milk from cows in dry lot receiving either silage or dry feed alone. The results of these experiments indicate that the rations studied have no significant influence on the vitamin C content of milk.
